Results from the 2nd Annual Republican Shoot in Cheshire County
The sun shined on our 2nd Annual Republican Shoot! Grant Bosse, Bob Clegg, Jennifer Horn, and Rob Steiner, candidates for the 2nd Congressional District seat, all attended and were graciously quizzed on their stand on the 2nd amendment (and on lots of other topics). Grant Bosse had the highest total score for trap, pistol, and rifle events, so all other shooters competed with him.
Bill Campbell (Dawn Lincoln's husband) of Westmoreland won the Ruger rifle.
Turkeys will be presented to the other winners. Michael Tepedino won High Score Overall. Sandy Tatham of Nelson won the Women's Division. Deb Phillipson (Keene) won the Trap Shoot while her husband, Fish & Game Commissioner Moose Phillipson, had the high score for Pistols. Finally, Senator Eaton's brother, Michael Eaton took the Rifle Competition.
Maybe next year, if we all work hard to get out the vote, we can invite our new Vice President Sarah Palin, to be our celebrity shooter!
Thank you all for your support of this event, a special thank you to Arto Leino who helped man the 'running deer' target;Brenda Lyman, Jane Lane, & Smokey Smith who prepared and served lunch; Dawn Lincoln who split her time between photography, food, and sign in; Bonnie Moore, Marilyn Huston, and everyone else who helped with sign in; and Al Kulas, our PR man! Let's not forget the wonderful people at the Cheshire Fish and Game Club who so kindly invite us to use their facility and man the events for us. It was a great day. Let's make November 4th an even better one!
